TDM Other Types of Spindles
I. Multi-Tool Changer Spindles
For machine tools that require automatic tool change but cannot easily accommodate a tool magazine, TDM offers multi-tool changer spindles. A tool disc is mounted at the front of the spindle, holding various tool holders and cutting tools. The spindle itself can automatically switch between different tool holders and tools. This type of spindle provides a cost-effective automatic tool changing solution.
II. B-Axis Spindles
TDM provides B-axis systems with matched electric spindles. In addition to its own rotation, the spindle can also rotate around the B-axis, adjusting the spindle's angular position. This series of B-axis spindles is ideal for machining complex-shaped workpieces.
III. Spindle Speed Increasers
TDM offers dedicated spindle speed increasers. One end features a standard external taper and pull stud, connecting to the customer's existing low-speed, high-torque spindle. The other end holds the tool holder and cutting tool. The speed increaser has its own motor and bearings. The customer's spindle holds the speed increaser housing stationary, while the internal motor and bearings drive the tool at high speed.
Spindle speed increasers are easy to install and remove, requiring no modifications to the existing machine tool structure. Use the original spindle for low-speed heavy cutting, and attach the speed increaser for high-speed, high-precision machining.
High efficiency, convenience, and cost-effectiveness are the main advantages of spindle speed increasers!
IV. High-Speed High-Precision Motors and Generators

In addition to electric spindles for precision machine tools, we also offer various high-speed, high-power, or high-precision motors and generators. Motors can be asynchronous or synchronous, primarily used for drive applications. Generators are equipped with permanent magnet synchronous motors, acting as passive loads that output voltage. Permanent magnet synchronous motors can also switch between motor and generator modes, for use in starter-generator systems.
